How much will mediation cost me?

Couples/Family Mediation

Services Fee What does this include?
Initial consultation Free Opportunity to ask any pressing questions about mediation and/or book a MIAM
MIAM (Mediation Information & Assessment Meeting) £95 per person An hour (face to face or on Zoom) to
> explore your issues and concerns in more detail
> explain the mediation process
> assess the suitability of your case for joint mediation sessions
Signing your court form £35 Signed court form by an accredited mediator if you decide not to proceed with mediation but want to apply to go to family court
Joint Mediation Session £120 per hour per person Sessions can be scheduled for 1.5 or 2 hours depending on your preference.

The fee covers:
> a qualified, registered mediator managing your discussions to keep them focused and productive
> a written confidential and without prejudice outcome statement after each session of the decisions you have made & any issues yet to be resolved
> a free signed court application form if you have tried mediation but still decided to go to court
Preparation of final documents £100 per hour per person Comprehensive confidential and without prejudice documents detailing the decisions you have jointly made during the mediation process. These may include any of the following:
> Memorandum of Understanding
> Open Financial Statement
> Parenting Plan
Child Inclusive Mediation £100 per hour per child or sibling group (shared between parents)

30 minute feedback session to parents: £50 per parent
Includes :
> a meeting for your child(ren) with an experienced Child Inclusive Mediator, especially trained to talk with children and young people
> a 30 minute verbal debrief on zoom to both parents at the same time

Non-family Mediation

> explore your issues and concerns in more detail
> explain the mediation process
> assess the suitability of your case for joint mediation sessions
Joint Mediation Session 2 hour session: £240 per party

Half day & whole day sessions by request
Depending on requirements, sessions can be booked for two hour, half day or whole day durations.

The fee covers:
> a qualified, registered mediator managing your discussions to keep them focused and productive
> a written confidential and without prejudice outcome statement of the decisions you have made & any issues yet to be resolved
Preparation of final documents £100 per hour per party Comprehensive confidential and without prejudice documents detailing the decisions you have jointly made during the mediation process.
  • Payment must be received 5 days in advance of all MIAM and joint mediation sessions.
  • We do not charge extra for sending emails or letters, or for enquiry phone calls, and VAT is not applicable on our fees.
  • Appointments cancelled more than 48 hours in advance will be refunded in full less any venue hire costs incurred. Refunds for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment is due will be at our discretion.
